Otto von Wulffen
Otto von Wulffen is a strategy consultant focused on the intersection of data-driven innovation, technology, and the future of sports and media. An Excellence Scholar in the IESE MBA Class of 2027, he is passionate about turning complex insights into strategies that create measurable impact both on and off the field.
Otto spent nearly three years at Altman Solon, the global TMT-focused strategy consultancy, advancing from Analyst to Consultant in its Munich office. There he developed an integrity framework for one of the world's largest esports organizations, aligning over 100 stakeholders on a shared set of regulations and ethical guidelines to help legitimize the industry. He devised efficiency initiatives for Germany's leading mobile operators and tower companies during a period of major regulatory and market change, and advised regional and global data center providers and investors on growth strategies to allocate more than €100 million in capital — anticipating demand created by emerging AI use cases.
His work also spanned media and sports directly: he built a five-year turnaround strategy for one of Europe's largest broadcasters, sharpening its focus on original content to compete with international streaming platforms, and investigated a business opportunity for an international sports federation to align competition equipment with its guidelines, generating more than €50 million in upside. Earlier roles at Hubert Burda Media and nebenan.de gave him grounding in business development and media operations.
Otto holds bachelor's degrees in Business Informatics from the University of Mannheim and Korea University, giving him a strong analytical and data foundation. He combines that quantitative grounding with a deep enthusiasm for how technology is reshaping the way audiences play, watch, and connect.
